BC Meetings| British Columbia Squash Racquets Association
Enclosed are several pages referring to the Squash B.C.'s Annual General Meeting. Under the societies act we are required to follow certain procedures, among which is proper notice of general meetings etc. Squash BC meetings are never behind closed doors. In fact we encourage attendance and participation, however it is often inconvenient for people to spend the time to participate as a volunteer and attend meetings. To assist you, our member clubs, there is a zone representative whose job is to represent you, your members and your facility at meetings like this when it is not convenient for the club representative to attend. If you have any concerns or topics that you would like brought up at this or any other Squash BC meetings please feel free to contact them. See the attached list for names and contact numbers. As an alternative, if you feel uncomfortable dealing with the zone representative in your area, please feel free to call the Squash BC office directly at (604) 737-3084 and talk to myself, Kevin Kydd, Executive Director. In conjunction with the Annual General Meeting is, what we call, a Planning Session. This is held throughout the day on Saturday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, May 26, 2007, prior to the AGM. If a club representative is planning on attending the AGM, it may be helpful for them to be in attendance during the Planning Session as well. If this is the case, we must know in advance who will be attending. Generally speaking it is very rare to have a club representatives attend these meetings but because we like to provide enough seating, snacks, meals and beverages etc. it is important that we have a proper head count prior to the meetings. If your representative plans to attend please have them register with us at the office number by May 21, 2007. Yours truly,
