Men’s Team in Winnipeg

We all met at the airport on Thursday evening, Matt Fahey gave us the sponsorship package from Lululemon. We arrived at the hotel in Winnipeg about mid night local time 10:00pm our time. We had difficulty resting right the way we were in the room but couldn't sleep until about 2:00 am. Anyway we had our first match with at 10:00 am local time against Manitoba 1, we lost 2-1, it actually took Thomas 2 games down to out play his opponent who retired after losing the 4th set.

Later in the day we played Nova Scotia we won convincingly 3-0.

On Saturday we played Saskatchewan and gave a good fight but lost barely having had match ball, I lost a my match ,Thomas won keeping his record unblemished. We were tied 1-1 in matches and Matt was tied 2-2 in the fifth. It was close all the way and Matt got to 8-6 match ball but lost 10-8 so close.

The price for loosing barely was to play Nova Scotia again and we won 3-0 in style.

On Sunday at 10:00 we played North West Territory we won Matt defaulted due to injury, myself and Thomas won, 2-1 BC.

Our team order was 1)Shakiru Matti, 2)Matt Fahey and 3)Thomas Brinkman.

We finished 7th place.
