Mark Ridgeway is the winner of the Sportsmanship award from the recent Halloween Open tournament at Bentall. Playing against a Bentall player and a bevy of home-court fans in the first round, he kept his cool throughout the match. In the "A" final, although Mark was beaten 3-0, his demeanour didn't change. A worthy sportsman in victory and defeat, Mark is a
well-deserved award recipient. (That the judges took a week to decide the winner is a testament to the play of many others in the tournament--well done to those players.)
