Sportsmanship Award Winner at Halloween Open

The name Jarryd Senick was mentioned favorably both prior to, and then after, my own experience of him early on Sunday morning at the Halloween Open. Despite the ungodliness of the hour, the fragility of the referee, and the complexity of some of the calls, Jarryd showed great sportsmanship in accepting the judgment of the moment and getting on with the play. Throughout the match he played with good humor, goodwill and grace under pressure, even when faced with the occasional brilliant play of his venerable opponent.
