Oh how the mighty have fallen and who says that revenge is not sweet...

Friday June 3rd VLTC, a match was played between Mike Dodds and Denis Fontaine against Chris Wallace and Brad 'former no. 1 right waller in the world' Desaulniers. While I happened to wonder by the Snake Pit (a men's drinking establishment at the club) that afternoon. The fella's were relaxing after the match having a drink. In Mike's case probably numerous drinks, in order to reduce the pain inflicted on him by his best friend Brad. From the right wall Brad hit Mike (his best friend) on the left wall, that is correct. Claiming to have attempted a reverse. I looked at Mike for a response ... and looked again at Mike for a response ... and after some thought he politely indicated that it would have been a four wall boast at BEST.

Brad (Mike's best friend) thought it was necessary to take pic's of the damage and send around to the Lawn members ... please view if you wish. (pic #1 and pic #2)

On this Friday, Brad having just won the match and hitting Mike (his best friend) was full of piss and vinegar or maybe himself (just kidding). He demanded that I play with Mike against he and Chris on Sunday. I agreed. Sunday was a hotly contested match, coming down to fifth and deciding game. At 10-0, Chris was still thinking that he and Brad could still win. I mean after all it was only Mike and I, and he was playing with the former no. 1 right waller in the world. Brad of course realized the severity of the situation and said lets just get a god damm point!!!!! Well now it is 14-0 and ... Mike hits a ball down the wall that some how Chris reaches back to float a ball to the front. Mike then steps up and hits a philly ... game and match. CHAMPAGNE 15-0.

So yes revenge can be very sweet sometimes.

I write this with an incredibly big smile on my face,
Marv
