Squash BC is inviting applications for the position of Executive
Director (ED). The current Executive Director’s contract expires
on August 31, 2008 and he has been invited to apply on this competition.

| 2020 Fund Making Good Progress
The 2020 Fund Committee is pleased to report that in 2007
the 2020 Fund made good progress towards its initial target of $200,000.
During the year, donations totalling approximately $23,000 were
received from 76 donors pushing the Fund balance up to $125,000.

champion, Melanie Jans, 4 time national champion, Pan American gold
medalist and Viktor Berg, top 5 in Canada and top 3 international
doubles player
The Shakiru Matti Summer Camp
The Shakiru Matti Summer Camp at Fitness Unlimited will
be running 12-17, 19-24 and 26-31 July 2008 from 9:30 am -4:30 on
the stipulated dates. For those of you who do not know Shakiru,
he is both a former national coach in both Guatemala and Mexico
PRO SQUASH TRAINING CAMP
July 28 - July 31, 2008 at theEvergreen Squash Club, Vancouver,
BC. This is an opportunity to train with Canadian National Team
members Shahier Razik and Viktor Berg, and Head Pro at Evergreen
Squash club Phil Arthur, under the watchful eye of nationally recognized
squash coach John Flurry. This camp is designed to demonstrate the
speed, pressure, and requirements necessary to compete at the highest
level in today’s rapidly evolving game.
Jericho Summer Squash Camps
Junior Elite Week - July 7-10 Junior Week - July 14-17. Elite Week
features guest coach Viktor Berg. Camps are available for all levels
and all age categories. We are committed to assist each participant
to reach their goals and have a fantastic camp experience at Jericho.

thank SportsFunder and The Coaching Association of BC for their
generous support in funding coaching courses for this next year.

Hello to all the Junior squash players and their parents!
Another Squash Season is upon us! We hope you’ve all had an
enjoyable Summer and are looking forward to another action packed
year of Squash! We’re pleased to announce a new Funding Program
to help defray the costs of traveling to select out of town Squash
Tournaments. These funds have been made available to us through

to put down some basic do’s and don’ts for squash players,
coaches, parents and spectators. There have been some situations come
up in the past six months and I’m not sure all people know what

FUND
The 2020 Fund was initiated by Squash BC to help protect
the growth of Squash and Junior Development in our Province for
the future. Our goal is to have in excess of $200,000.00 in a fund
by the year 2020. Early indications are that we will reach our goal
