Program Organization
The HPP will be organized
into four primary subgroups:
- BU13/U15
- BU17/U19
- GU13/U15
- GU17/U19
Each subgroup will ideally consist of ten athletes
with equal representation from each age category within the subgroup.
The subgroup size can change if the situation warrants either a
smaller or larger number of athletes.
The full HPP will be launched in the Summer
of 2007. A partial rollout of the HPP is targeted for Spring of
2007. The HPP Sub-Committee will publish more specifics on the Program
as they are developed throughout this current squash season.
Selection Criteria
The top five ranked players in each age category
based on the Squash BC rankings as of April 30 of each year. Player’s
falling outside of the top five in each age category may apply for
acceptance into the HPP. Acceptance will be determined by the HPP
Sub-Committee and will be based on factors such as: previous HPP
experience, performance at National events as well as other extenuating
circumstances. Decisions of the HPP Sub-Committee will be based
on quantifiable results, will be openly communicated with the parties
involved and are not subject to appeal. |
