High Game Tournament
Raises $2,500 for the 2020 Fund
On June 20th, twenty two squash players joined forces at the Arbutus
Club to raise $2,500 for the 2020 Fund, beating last year’s
tally of $2,200. Besides lots of squash (each player had a minimum
of four matches), the tournament featured a very successful silent
auction and dinner afterwards in the Arbutus Club lounge.
Luke Vaggers (Bentall) defeated two time defending champion Tim
Saunders (Bentall) in the Main Draw final. Dave Adams (Bentall)
and Stanley Dee (Arbutus) were losing semi-finalists. Brendon Hull
(Bentall) defeated Allan Brown (Arbutus) to win the Classic Plate
while Phil Rabin (Bentall) defeated Alex Ravkov (Arbutus) to win
the Plate. Lynn Buntain (Arbutus) won the Consolation Pool event.
A special thanks to those who contributed to the Silent Auction.
