to pay the appropriate sanction fee.
-
Each host club or tournament representative/contact

July. 1st of the previous season in order to ensure the event
in question is sanctioned and is placed on the protected list.
One agreement per tournament.
-
The host club will be responsible for all aspects
of running the tournament, (except for the Provincial Championships,)
including the raising of any prize money or obtaining any sponsorship.
They will be expected to run a fair event at a reasonable entry
fee with the best possible value provided for that entry fee.
-
It is the responsibility of the host to ensure
that all participants are individual members of Squash BC. All
fees collected for new individual memberships and temporary
memberships are payable to Squash BC. If the host accepts the
responsibility for administering this, Squash BC will pay a
hosting grant based on a percentage of the membership dues collected.
-
Entry forms shall be distributed one month
prior to the starting date of the tournament.
-
All entry forms shall include the following
information:
a) That the tournament is a Squash BC sanctioned event.
b) The Squash BC logo is on the entry form. (size and location
is unrestricted)
c) A place to enter a Squash BC Membership Number.
d) That all participants MUST be current individual members
of Squash BC.
e) Two (2) entry fees are described, one as the entry fee
for current individual members of Squash BC. The other, which
is $10 more, as a temporary member of Squash BC.
f) Out of Province entries are accepted as current members
of Squash BC.
g) The official Ball is the "Dunlop Revelation Pro"
(double Yellow dot).
- The rankings are maintained on the Squash BC web site (www.squashbc.com)
on a regular basis. The host should access those rankings and
use them for seeding the tournament. If any doubt occurs or any
help is needed, Squash BC should be contacted.
- The host club will be responsible for saving ALL results from
beginning to end and sending them into the Squash B.C. office
within one week of the completion of the tournament. Electronic
draws or a results document will be provided by Squash BC. Faxed
draws will not be used for rankings.
- Follow up articles and/or pictures will be accepted for distribution
in the newsletter or on the Squash BC web site provided they are
received in a very timely fashion. Old news is no news.
Sanction Fees:
Sanction fees for all sanctioned tournaments will be invoiced
to the host and payable immediately following the tournament.
The “Flat Rate” for sanction fees is:
-
Regular Adult Tournaments $100.00
-
Doubles Tournaments $75.00
-
Junior Tournaments $50.00
-

$1.00 “Per Entry” if the total number of entries are

Options for Tournaments:
- Squash BC will make up and distribute the entry forms upon request
provided the following is agreed to:
- A fee of $150 over and above the sanction fee will be payable
by the host venue.
- The information to be included on the entry form is provided
no less than 5 weeks prior to the event.
Squash BC’s Online
Tournament Registration:
- Squash BC will provide an online registration for the tournament
on Squash BC’s web site provided the information is no less
then 5 weeks prior and the section agreement is filled out. The
person who will be collecting the data for the registration needs
to contact Squash BC and that person will receive detailed information
for this.
- The tournament organizers will have to decide if they want
to process the credit cards themselves or have it done by Squash
BC. If they decide they can do it themselves, they can follow
the directions sent to them for getting the CC information. If
the tournament organizers want Squash BC to process the credit
cards, there will be a 3 ½% charge on the total amount
collected. Squash BC will process 100% of the Credit Card entries
for that tournament. Please fill out the sanctioning form, sign
it and send it to Squash BC.
- After the entry form has been set up online, people can then
enter your tournament. The person whose e-mail was put on the
sanctioning form will receive notices when a person has entered
online. These will be your only entry forms you receive from these
people. Print them, file them, then put them in a data base.
Submitting Results:
- A disc will be provided in your package with many draw formats
that you are likely to use. In some cases you may have to adapt
it to suit your event, however it can be copied right onto your
hard drive in which case once your tournament is complete, you
can email your results in directly to the Squash BC office. We
are providing this disc because we will only accept clearly type
written results with correct spelling for ranking purposes. Sorry,
but we will no longer accept faxed draw sheets for rankings.
- Equally important is the SPELLING of names and the completeness
of names (FIRST & LAST NAMES) on the draw in EVERY round.
- Please submit the results at the very earliest possible time.
If results are delayed too long after the event has taken place,
they will not be accepted for rankings. Results entered in the
wrong order in which they are played can make a significant difference
to a players ranking.
- If you do not have access to a computer, please ask a volunteer
within your club to help you out by doing this for you….and
us.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR COOPERATION
Let’s have a great season
